Namaste ;)

We are changing gym, so today is the last yoga class in the old one.
It's going to be mine, because Antsu is working. And nothing should be taken too seriously, not even yoga, be kind to your self and have some fun with your body - your Temple and Funhouse :)

Happy Birthday and 10th anniversary

...tomorrow...
these were meaningful to us 11 years ago, and still are,
bringing back "dating memories", strawberries and vanilla ;)

remember this funny thing hearing the lyrics wrong:
Tunde sings: "And though it's darker than December, What's ahead is a different colour", and I heard him sing: "Wash your hair in a different colour" :D

The Curious Movie

Benjamin Button: "For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

we saw yesterday the dvd: The Curious case of Benjamin Button...how have we filmaholics missed this (I do remember that we had lack of time when it came out, and thougt going to see it 'later')???? Wonderful movie, "carpe diem-genre", we loved it (brought up a LOT of tears from me, but they were good, healing ones)

and the totally amazing visual effects...

Nordic Walking part 2

Happened on the weekend:

Friday:
- bought The Poles: 'Exel Nordic Walker Black Poison Evolution' (thats really the whole name).
- started training...and what a laugh :D. Antsu who can ski mastered the correct technique AT ONCE...well I can't ski...it was sooo funny, I started walking and I absolutely could't walk normally with the sticks - I moved same leg and arm, impossible to alternate. Felt and looked like I was working at Monty Pythons Ministry of Silly walks. (And this is only for our finnish readers: "näytti ihan James Potkukelkan kävelyltä -apuva!")
- with gigglegigglegiggle and more giggle, I finally got the technique thanks to my wonderful, patient husband
- walked 55 min, and really enjoyed it

Saturday:
- Nordic walking 55 min

Sunday:
- Nordic walking 55 min

Today:
- Indoor cycling OR Nordic walking 90 min

We are hooked. Completely. We take back everything we ever said.
It's surprisingly good whole body workout - with the right technique ;)

Nordic Walking

There is on type of exercise I have sworn I NEVEREVER do - nordic walking...
It's looks like kinda Alzheimer skiing, you have sticks (actually they are called "walking poles") but have forgot the skis.

..but here we go again, never say never...

let's face the facts: I can't walk normally more than...the truth is...at all - it hurts like hell...but anyway I have to do it to keep me going...and walking is BORING.Have tried the walking sticks and surprisesurprise, they were not bad at all. The thing is that if you use them as they should be used, it's not SO easy...alittlebit tricky and surprisingly good workout.

And my dear Antsu who completely shares my "alzheimer skiing" opinions are going to walk with me so I don't have to walk alone - I love you, is there anything you would't do for me?!

Going to buy The Sticks to day, let you know how it goes.....

p.s. nobody are NEVER going to see us 'scandinavian blondes' in Cyprus nordic walking...on the other hand, walking in the sunshine behind Antsu and watching his footballplayer-thight muscels moving would not be so bad at all...wow..definetly have to rethink this ;)

Farewell my Friend

Early this morning You started your journey to the next life.

In december 1990 when we,"The Roses" (group of 6 moms), had a gathering, you played us a song from a brand new c-cassette - and I was hooked, and has been since. It was Madonnas Immaculate and The Song we played over and over again was La Isla Bonita. You have a special place in my heart, will allways remember your sarcastic sense of humour - so this clip is for You, knowing you would have loved it.

Farewell, have a safe Journey!
